Hey. Toddot.net is the personal blog of Todd Harris. Here I record random thoughts on life as a freelance bioinformaticist, mostly discussing traveling and various (mis)adventures in the Rocky Mountains of the Western United States.
I blog about genomics, bioinformatics, and science policy on my professional blog.

That hat has a funny story. It spent one night in my apartment before being presented to Watson, after Steve, a friend from Baylor attending the Geology of Benomes conference brought it up from Houston.
When Watson was down in Houston in May, 2007 to announce the public release of his genome sequence, Richard Gibbs (the guy on the left, and my former boss) presented him with a genuine certified cowboy hat. Unfortunately, it was too big. So for this year’s conference, Steve brought a hat with the correct size.
I guess Watson’s head was not as big as everyone thought.
