Day 46: Deepest day of the year

March 21, 2006 · 0 comments

Today was the deepest day of the year. Jupiter opened early oddly enough to no crowds. Three runs on lower West Face, hikes to McConkeys and Pioneer Ridge. Easily waist deep choking on face shots. By noon everything had already set up on the lower half of the mountain. Oh well, it’s about that time of year…

Up at 4 for work and shovelling.

Heading out for coffee at 7:45.

Have we died and gone to heaven? West face powder insanity.

Riding pioneer after an epic drop down untracked pow through the nordic notch. The pioneers never had it this good.
