Day 39: Hiking McConkey’s, Pioneer, Jupiter

March 10, 2006 · Comments

With McConkey’s closed, the upper part of the mountain offered some pristine skiing today. The high traverse across the back of Jupiter was open, opening up access to everything over on McConkey’s.

Hiked three laps on McConkey’s (pristine!), one off of Pioneer ridge (heavy and setting up), one off of Scott’s (choppy), and one off the Peak (brilliant).

Tycoon off of McConkey’s – marred by the brutal traversers. I took the line on skier’s left.
