Wow! Another epic day! The “powder hounds” that created a huge jam at Jupiter yesterday were nowhere to be found today. Which is odd because we had about 6″ of new snow and with winds overnight everything was blown back in. It was like an 18″ powder day instead of 12″ and ski-on at Jupiter.
Thaynes was still completely tracked but the trees below the access road were really soft.
And today Upper Pinecone opened around 10:30. The ridge above Scott’s was super nice, easily waist deep on tele gear, untracked. Flying low.
