Clear Cut chronicles the decline of the logging industry and the resulting loss of identity of a community as it transitions into
The story centers around the Clemens Foundation. Endowed by a timber magnate, this trust provided guaranteed college tuition for any student graduating from Philomath High School. As the logging industry declined, long time residents (and trustees of the Clemens Foundation) began to clash with the increasing “liberalization” of the local school district, changes that they felt were eroding the character of Philomath.
Highly entertaining to watch the conflict escalate, told from both sides of the story.
