Day 4 of the season. Lots and lots of sun. Didn’t get up until one or so. Skiied Motherlode and Silverlode. They opened up Carbide Cut today which was full of fist-sized death cookies. Nasty. But the bottom fork was really nice and untracked. About a foot of nice fluff. Took several lines on that down, and a few through the trees between Fools Gold and Glory Hole.
I think I have the bindings/T1 situation worked out, too. I set the Hammerheads to the middle setting. It is so loose compared to 5 which I skiied on all last year. But with the force of the T1s, I think it is about right. It was so loose that I’d find myself getting down to turn and going way low. I was used to really stomping on my bindings last year.
I might bump it up to a 4 for a little more of the stiff Hammerhead feel. That stiffness really instills confidence at high speeds, quick transitions, and quick turn initiations. 5 is just way major overkill with the T1s.
